Ethanol

Ethanol produced from sugar cane is a renewable and less polluting fuel, which offsets carbon dioxide emissions during the production cycle itself.

Ethanol produced from sugar cane is a renewable and less polluting fuel, which offsets carbon dioxide emissions during the production cycle itself.

In our industrial units we produce three types of ethanol: Korea standard hydrated ethanol, industrial hydrated ethanol and anhydrous ethanol. Learn more about each one:

Hydrated ethanol
Korea standard

With a minimum alcohol content of 95.5% and low levels of contaminants, it is intended for the foreign market for various industrial processes.

Hydrated industrial
ethanol

It is a purer ethanol and is used in the petrochemical, chemical, food and cosmetic industries.

Anhydrous
ethanol

Water-free ethanol is used as fuel mixed with gasoline.

Bioenergy

We use sugarcane bagasse as biomass to generate energy. The bagasse, rich in cellulose, is burned in boilers to produce steam, which is then converted into thermal energy and, subsequently, into renewable electrical energy through a cogeneration process.

The energy generated not only supplies our industrial units and administrative offices, but also allows us to sell the surplus to the regulated and free market, maximizing the use of our resources and contributing to a more sustainable energy system.
